Tomorrow can't wait, let's shape it together!REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Scientist, Validation Compliance in Winston SalemThe Senior Scientist, Validation Compliance contributes to and executes validation processes for regulatory compliance initiatives across RAI Operating Companies. The position manages change control activities for existing and new validations through cross-functional collaboration, ensuring compliance with governing procedures. The position participates in audits and provides backroom support during regulatory inspections.Your key responsibilities will include:Contribute to and execute validation strategy, framework, processes and process governance for FDA and other regulatory compliance initiatives across RAI operating companiesManage and execute validation and change control activities for validation projects, ensuring compliance with governing proceduresDevelop and deliver presentations, communications, training material, and metrics to stakeholders at all levels of the organizationParticipate in internal and external auditsEnsure and engage in cross-functional collaboration and consultation for existing, planned, and pending activitiesContribute to staffing and workload distribution discussions for validation, change control, and related activitiesManage and escalate validation-related issues, as appropriateServe as backroom support resource, providing validation deliverables during regulatory inspectionsWhat are we looking for?Bachelor of Science degree with relevant experience (3+ years); or associate degree with relevant experience (5+ years)Experience with scripted testing, qualification, verification and/or validation is preferredExperience managing or executing validation activities is preferredResults-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-taskStrong adherence to process and protocolStrong interpersonal skills, team-orientedEffective, accurate oral and written communication skillsAbility to understand relationships between systems and regulationsProficient with computer systems and common terminologyDemonstrated technical leadership skillsAbility to work with minimal oversight and drive execution with a sense of urgencyWorks proficiently in MS Excel, Word, PowerPointUnderstanding of current regulations and validation strategiesWillingness and ability to achieve and maintain validation and regulatory knowledge through job experience and with ongoing courses and seminarsOccasional business travel may be requiredRegular, in-person attendance at the Company's sites and facilitiesWE ARE REYNOLDS AMERICAN-A member of the BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO GROUPAt Reynolds American, we are committed to our Purpose of creating A Better Tomorrow.
