Position Summary: We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher who believes every child has unlimited potential. In this role, you’ll create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment where curiosity thrives and learning feels exciting. You’ll design engaging lessons that blend creativity with academic rigor, adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and foster a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom walls. As a valued member of our school community, you’ll collaborate with fellow educators, families, and support staff to nurture not only academic growth but also social-emotional development. Your work will directly shape confident, compassionate, and capable learners who are ready to take on the world. Major Duties & Responsibilities: Maintaining a close, personal walk with the Lord and being a credible Christian role model, in and out of school, in attitude, speech, and action as evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit. Being able to support and comply with the school’s Statement of Faith and We Believe Statements. Possessing Biblical knowledge and the ability to integrate Scripture into subject matters taught in order to shape a biblical worldview. Establishing and enforcing rules of behavior for students in the classroom Preparing lessons, units and projects to complete learning objectives Establishing and communicating clear objectives for lessons, units and projects Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students Encouraging students to explore learning opportunities and career paths Creating, assigning and grading various assessments for students, including tests, quizzes, essays and projects Working with students one-on-one when they need extra help or attention Tracking and evaluating student academic progress Leading parent-teacher meetings Maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, coworkers and supervisors Managing student behavior Creating a safe, respectful and inclusive classroom environment Communicating regularly with parents Helping students improve study methods and habits Administering tests to evaluate students’ progress Skills & Qualifications: Ability to develop lesson plans and successfully instruct students in theories, methods and tasks Ability to effectively communicate with others and clearly express complex ideas Proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to students’ various learning needs Knowledge of appropriate educational psychology, learning styles and strategies Strong public speaking and oral presentation skills Excellent organization and time management skills Technology skills to track student attendance and grades and present creative lessons Leadership skills and patience for working with students of all ages Equal Employment Opportunity Faith Bible Christian Schools is a faith-based institution of education which requires faculty and staff to be in agreement with our doctrinal statement and to adhere to our community lifestyle standards.
