We are currently seeking a diligent and skilled Mixer Technician/Maintenance/Receiver to join our dynamic team at our Port Barre, LA Facility. This position is key to maintaining the high standards of our feed production process.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate Batching Schedules and Production: Ensure that batching schedules are met and that production aligns with planned timelines.Manufacture Products: Follow formulations provided by the Corporate Office to produce all products accurately.Equipment Maintenance: Assist in maintaining equipment, including keeping installation, repair records, and preventative maintenance schedules up-to-date.Ingredient Receiving: Receive and unload ingredients from barges, railcars, and/or trucks at the manufacturing facility.Maintain Cleanliness: Keep equipment and work areas clean and well-organized.Compliance: Adhere to OSHA regulations, company safety rules, and policies and procedures.RequirementsSkills and Qualifications:Manufacturing Experience: Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.Educational Requirements: High school level reading, writing, and mathematical skills.Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills and the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance.Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently.Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with various individuals.Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in and promote a team environment.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
