This role involves obtaining patient referrals from healthcare providers, physicians, patient self-referrals, and online inquires. The Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that each patient receives exceptional service and support throughout their journey with Ackerman Urology.Essential Job FunctionsRespond promptly to inquiries from potential patients in need of urological care.Provide comprehensive information about the treatment, addressing their questions and concerns. Additionally, assist patients in understanding the costs associated with services and treatment.Verify patients' insurance coverage or explore alternative options for treatment costs.Coordinate with billing to address any insurance or payment-related concerns.Ensure that necessary authorizations are obtained from insurance providers prior to consultation.Maintain regular communication to nurture leads and guide patients through the inquiry stage.Coordinate appointment scheduling, working closely with physicians and clinic staff.Maintain accurate records of appointments and follow-up actions.Maintain positive relationships with patients, providing up-to-date information, education, and exceptional patient experiences.Support intake duties at all locations of Ackerman Cancer Center as needed.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceAt least two years related experience in Customer Service in a medical environment is required.Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical fieldProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and OutlookBasic Life Support CertificationStrong organizational and time management skillsHours: 8:00AM-4:30PM
