Commercial Electrical Project Manager / Business Development Manager
Position SummaryALC is seeking a qualified Hybrid Project Manager / Business Development Manager to drive both client growth and project execution. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, securing new project opportunities, supporting estimating and preconstruction efforts, and managing commercial electrical projects from award through closeout. Blending business development, project management, and account leadership, this position plays a key role in driving revenue growth, delivering successful projects, and expanding long-term customer partnerships.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & SalesDevelop and secure new commercial electrical project opportunitiesBuild and grow relationships with general contractors, developers, owners, facility managers, and end usersIdentify leads, pursue opportunities, and maintain a healthy sales pipelineParticipate in networking, industry events, and market outreach to drive growthPrepare proposals, budgets, presentations, and negotiate project solutionsSupport strategic account development and grow repeat business opportunitiesProject Management & ExecutionManage commercial electrical projects from award through closeoutOversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and executionCoordinate internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnelManage project financial performance, cost control, and forecastingLead project meetings, progress updates, and client communicationReview contracts, scopes, drawings, specifications, and change ordersProcurement, material planning, and manpower coordinationEnsure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budgetSupport company initiatives related to safety training and complianceDrive client satisfaction while maintaining strong margins and project performancePreconstruction & Estimating SupportEstimating takeoffs, and scope development as neededBid reviews, conceptual budgeting, and value engineering effortsParticipating in project handoff and preconstruction planningQualifications3+ years’ experience in commercial electrical construction, project management, business development, or related rolesStrong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and project deliveryExperience managing projects while supporting client development and sales growthAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and estimatesProven success in client relationship management and project executionStrong financial acumen related to project budgets, forecasting, and profitabilityExcellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skillsSelf-driven professional with both operational and entrepreneurial mindsetEstimating or electrical contracting background preferredExperience working in IBEW union environment (strongly preferred).Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive Base SalaryPerformance Bonuses tied to growth, individual project results, and company performanceVehicle Allowance or Company Vehicle (if applicable)100% company funded Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off / VacationAmerican Legacy Construction (A Crete United Company) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
