Systems EngineerThe Systems Engineer is responsible for providing advanced systems, network, and security support for managed services and internal platforms. This role focuses on network infrastructure, firewall management, cloud platforms, information security, and systems automation, while also helping close strategic capability gaps within the engineering team.The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong fundamentals in networking and firewalls, combined with experience in Azure, security tooling, automation, and platform administration. This role will work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Service Desk, and Business Systems teams to support and evolve ASI's technical environment.Job ConditionsType of contract: permanent. Start date: ASAPNetwork & Firewall ResponsibilitiesConfigure, manage, and support firewall platforms and security policiesMaintain VPN solutions (site to site and client VPNs)Support routing, switching, and network troubleshootingEnsure secure and reliable connectivity across on premises and cloud environmentsCloud & Azure ResponsibilitiesSupport and manage Microsoft Azure environmentsAssist with cloud migration initiatives, including transitions from hosted providers to AzureHelp manage Azure infrastructure components such as networking, compute, storage, and backupsSupport hybrid environments and connectivity between on premises and cloud platformsInformation Security & Compliance ResponsibilitiesSupport Infosec operations, including: o Endpoint and security tooling (e.g., Sophos) o Vulnerability management and remediation o Data governance and compliance initiatives (e.g., Microsoft Purview)Assist with security audits, compliance efforts, and policy enforcementParticipate in threat identification and security incident responseSystems, Automation & DevOps ResponsibilitiesSupport and administer ITIL processes, including configuration, workflows, and integrationsAssist in designing and improving automation for systems operationsSupport integrations between platforms working with APIs, scripting, and automation tools to streamline operationsContribute to DevOps-style initiatives that bridge infrastructure, cloud, and applicationsEducation and/or Experience3+ years of experience in a medium or large size organization.Strong hands on experience with: o Firewalls, networking, and VPN technologies o Windows-based infrastructure and systems supportExperience working in managed services or client-facing environments preferred
