Job Title: Azure Network Security EngineerLocation: Omaha, NE, and Greenwood Village, CO – 5 Days onsiteRole Type: 6-12 Months CTHExperience Level: Mid/Senior/LeadNote - This role is not for C2C—please read before applying.About the RoleAs an Azure Network Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and maintaining Azure networking solutions to drive performance, scalability, resiliency, and security for our cloud infrastructure. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, architecture, cloud operations, and security teams to deliver first-class solutions that power our most business-critical platforms.ResponsibilitiesDesign and Implementation: Architect, implement, and maintain core networking components, including virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups within Azure.Hybrid Connectivity: Develop and manage secure connectivity solutions between on-premises and Azure environments using VPN, ExpressRoute, and related services.Application Delivery: Configure and operate load balancers, application gateways, and traffic managers to ensure optimal application performance and availability.Private Access: Deploy private and service endpoints to enforce secure access to Azure services.Network Security: Implement industry-leading network security practices—manage firewalls and network security groups and monitor for vulnerabilities and risks.Operations & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor and support the network environment; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve connectivity and security issues.Collaboration: Partner with solution architects, cloud administrators, security engineers, application developers, and DevOps to deliver seamless infrastructure solutions.Automation: Drive automation initiatives for network configuration, monitoring, and management using scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Azure network infrastructure.Proven expertise with virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, VPNs, ExpressRoute, load balancers, and application gateways.Strong understanding of network security principles and cloud security best practices.Proficiency in troubleshooting network, firewall, and connectivity issues in hybrid environments.Familiarity with Windows Server administration and automation/scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, or similar).Preferred QualificationsMicrosoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, or similar certification.Experience working with large-scale, mission-critical cloud environments.Working knowledge of automation, monitoring, and DevOps practices as they relate to network operations.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including architecture, security, and software engineering.
