Java Developer

Senior Java EngineerFidelity has a 16 week engagement for two Senior Java Engineers to work remotely or in the Durham NC office. The role involves working with an existing code base to maintain and analyze a reporting engine that runs over a data warehouse. You will need to quickly gain an understanding of how these existing systems operate based on existing documentation and working with the rest of the engineers on the team and be able to troubleshoot problems that arise from consumers.Your Skillset:Recent Java experience8+ years of hands on development, full stack preferred, minimum API to databaseTech stack: oracle, java, C/ProC, Cobol, PowerBuilderStrong technical design and analysis skillsAbility to learn new technologies quicklyWorking knowledge of API'sLeadership – ability to take ownership of initiatives and see them all the way throughAssist in identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of problems within the production and non-production environmentsAssist with architecture direction for cloud conversionFidelity's Workplace Investing (WI) Technology team designs, develops, implements, and supports WI's suite of Internet products and services.
