Position: Data ModelerLocation: On-site at U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) offices, in Falls Church, Virginia, or Ft. Collins, ColoradoClearance: Clearable (Public Trust)Objective:The primary objective of this engagement is to ensure the continued enhancement, as well as maintenance and operational support of ECOSphere, which includes its seamless integration with other systems/applications, by leveraging the expertise of highly qualified technical professionals. The focus is to ensure ECOSphere remains a secure, scalable, and efficient system that serves both internal USFWS users and the public.Requirements/Skills:Experience in the design enterprise data models supporting structured and semi-structured datasetsExperience with the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data modelsExperience in the implementation of data modeling for Lakehouse architectures and relational systemsExperience designing models supporting large-scale analytics and reportingStrong proficiency with SQL and database design principlesExperience modeling data within Databricks, cloud data platforms, or enterprise data warehousesExperience with the implementation of data normalization, dimensional modeling, and schema designExperience with established data standards, naming conventions, and metadata frameworksExperience with supporting data lineage, stewardship, and governance initiativesCandidate Should Demonstrate:Ability to work in mission-driven scientific and regulatory environmentsExperience collaborating with biologists, analysts, and federal program staff (helpful but not required)Understanding of data governance and interagency data sharingAbout Inalab Consulting, Inc.Inalab Consulting is a leading Small Business IT solutions and strategy consulting firm focused on providing solutions that transform enterprise operations in the government and commercial sectors by dependably bridging the gap between business strategy and technology.
