Data Engineer (Remote)

Overview In this role you will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable data integration and transformation solutions for Quest’s enterprise data platform and HAS data product. You’ll partner with business customers to craft large-scale data processing pipelines that support reporting and analytics, and you’ll enable advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives. You will build data-driven systems for mining, transforming, and validating data while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This is a chance to shape data infrastructure that powers patient-focused analytics and decision-making. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for analytics and data science initiativesBuild and optimize data models in cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse) for performance and scalabilityCollaborate with data scientists to productionize ML model inferences into persistent data storesImplement and adhere to DevSecOps practices (CI/CD, Git) and data governance standardsEnsure data solutions comply with HIPAA and security policiesSupport unit, integration, and performance testing to guarantee data reliabilityEngineer datasets for internal and customer-facing use following SOWs and technical specsContribute to process improvements and adoption of best practices in data engineering Key requirements3-5 years of data development experience with ETL3-5 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) – GCP preferred3-5 years of experience with cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse)3-5 years of experience with cloud-based ETL/ELT tools (Matillion, Glue, Data Factory) – Matillion preferredBachelor’s Degree in a relevant fieldOpen mindset and quick learningStrong business communicationCritical thinkingSQLPythonJava
