This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the technology foundation of a fast-growing, high-tech operation.Position OverviewThe MIS Senior Manager serves as the senior technology leader for Robo Optic's Hutto facility, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all information systems, manufacturing technology, and IT operations supporting production, quality, logistics, and facilities. This hands-on, strategic role bridges IT and manufacturing operations and reports directly to senior leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing & Enterprise Systems Implement and manage MES, ERP (SAP/Oracle/equivalent), WMS, and QMS platforms supporting end-to-end manufacturing operationsIntegrate shop floor systems with enterprise platforms to ensure real-time data flow, traceability, and production visibilitySupport NPI processes, engineering change management, BOM configuration, and production documentationManage SPC, calibration, and ISO 9001-aligned quality technology infrastructureIT Infrastructure & Factory Automation Design and manage facility IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, workstations, industrial PCs, and cybersecurity systemsOversee OT systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and automated equipment interfacesEnsure secure, reliable IT/OT convergence supporting both corporate and factory floor environmentsManage hardware procurement, software licensing, vendor relationships, and IT service contractsTeam Leadership & StrategyBuild, lead, and develop the facility's IT/MIS team, including systems administrators and support staffDevelop and manage the IT/MIS department budget (Capex and Opex)Establish IT governance policies, KPIs, and service level standards for the facilityLead digitalization and Industry 4.0 initiatives to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvementQualificationsBachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field8–12+ years of IT/MIS leadership experience in electronics, hardware, or high-tech manufacturing environmentsHands-on ERP implementation and management experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent) in manufacturingExperience with MES, WMS, and shop floor integration in a production environmentStrong knowledge of IT infrastructure, OT systems, cybersecurity, and factory automationProven track record leading technology buildouts in startup or greenfield manufacturing facilitiesPreferred Experience in robotics, optical systems, or precision electronics/hardware manufacturingFamiliarity with Industry 4.0, IIoT, and smart manufacturing technologiesExperience working with Taiwanese, Japanese, or Korean manufacturing organizationsPMP, ITIL, or relevant technology certificationsBilingual English/Mandarin or English/Spanish a plusWhy Join Robo?Build and own the full technology infrastructure of a new, well-funded manufacturing facilityDirect visibility to CEO and senior leadership with significant growth opportunityWork at the intersection of robotics, optical systems, and advanced manufacturingCompetitive compensation package commensurate with experience
