Cage Shift Supervisor - COG
DescriptionJOB PURPOSE: To supervise cage operations ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Directly supervises and schedules work for cage cashiers, reviews, and approves timesheets and leave requests. • Second level for handling problems with cashiers. Conducts performance appraisals on cage cashiers. Provides training for cage personnel. Distributes disciplinary actions. • Reviews work schedules, work hours, and reviews workload and make recommendations for improvement; Schedules service calls. • Manages shift end: closes shift paperwork, ensuring it is balanced and submitted; prepares cage summary for the shift, including cash transfers, impressments, bankrolls, deposits, variances, and banks for other departments (bingo, food, and beverage). • Safeguards company assets. • Communication. • Other duties assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES): • Must be at least 21 years of age • Extensive knowledge of departmental SOP's relative to cage cashiering. • Familiar with Title 31 regulations • Extensive knowledge of the Employee Handbook • Extensive knowledge of all positions in the cage • Ability to supervise and manage people, to plan and organize, and requires good communication skills • Skill in using computer/programs, and calculator REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or GED • A minimum of one (1) year casino cage supervisory experience and 5 years management or administrative experience • College education may substitute for experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Shift work. Required to work weekends, holidays, overtime and rotating shifts. On 24-hour emergency call Standing and walking most of the shift. Some lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
