The Shelter for Abused Women & Children | Naples, FLFull-Time | Exempt | On-SiteAbout The RoleThe Shelter for Abused Women & Children is seeking a compassionate, highly organized, and relationship-driven Volunteer & Community Resources Manager to lead volunteer engagement and strengthen community partnerships that directly support survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.This role serves as a key connector between The Shelter and the community by overseeing volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, engagement, in-kind donation coordination, outreach initiatives, and community resource development. The ideal candidate is collaborative, mission-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating meaningful impact through service and community involvement.Key ResponsibilitiesVolunteer Recruitment & EngagementRecruit, interview, onboard, and retain volunteers aligned with The Shelter’s missionCoordinate volunteer trainings, orientations, and compliance documentationCultivate strong volunteer relationships through ongoing communication and engagementPlan volunteer appreciation and recognition initiativesCommunity Outreach & PartnershipsRepresent The Shelter at community events, fairs, presentations, and outreach opportunitiesPromote Shelter programs and volunteer opportunities through public engagementBuild relationships with community partners, supporters, and organizationsDevelopment & Fundraising SupportSupport fundraising events, donor engagement initiatives, and community campaignsAssist with approved third-party fundraising activities and volunteer initiativesCoordinate monthly tours and outreach efforts with the Development teamIn-Kind Donations & Resource CoordinationCoordinate donation drives including Back-to-School and Holiday campaignsManage donation logistics, donor communications, and distribution effortsMaintain updated essentials lists and support participant resource needsProgram & Operational SupportCollaborate with program staff to identify volunteer and participant support needsSupport special projects and community initiatives as assignedProvide support to Naples and Immokalee Shelter operations as neededQualificationsBachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experienceStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectivelyProficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems such as Volgistics or DonorPerfect preferredValid Florida Driver’s License requiredWhat We’re Looking ForWe Are Seeking Someone Who IsCompassionate, professional, and collaborativePassionate about nonprofit and mission-driven workAdaptable, proactive, and solutions-orientedDetail-oriented with strong follow-throughComfortable engaging with diverse individuals and groupsWilling to take ownership and lead with integrityBenefitsThe Shelter offers an exceptional full-time benefits package including:36-hour full-time work week200 hours of PTO annually11 paid holidays100% employer-paid medical and mental health coverageDental and vision insurance options401(k) with employer matchEmployee Assistance ProgramWellness initiatives and staff appreciation eventsThis is a fully on-site position based in Naples, Florida and requires a five-day work week commitment.Employment with The Shelter for Abused Women & Children is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 Background Screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes and applicable DCF requirements.
