Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking anAccounting Internto support the Accounting department with documentation management, financial record organization, and customer-related accounting processes. In this role, you will assist with organizing vendor documentation, maintaining digital records of invoices and payments, and supporting processes related to customer refunds and credit balances. The internship provides structured exposure to both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable workflows, offering practical insight into accounting operations within a corporate environment.JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Assist with organization and maintenance of vendor documentation within shared drive systemsSupport scanning, indexing, and digital filing of invoices and payment recordsEnsure financial documents are labeled and stored according to established naming conventions and retention standardsAssist with customer refund review processesSupport communication efforts related to customer credit balancesMaintain documentation of customer responses to support proper audit trail and complianceEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related disciplineBasic understanding of accounting principlesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and data integrity when handling financial recordsStrong written and verbal communication skillsShimadzu is not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms for this employment opportunity.
