Workday Implementation Consultant
ResponsibilitiesKforce has a client in Columbia, MD that is seeking a Workday Implementation Consultant. Responsibilities: Partner with internal stakeholders to support finance system implementation projects from planning through execution Evaluate current finance processes and system configurations to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities Support design and build activities across core finance functions (e.g., AP, GL, billing, reconciliations) Review and validate system design decisions and recommend alternative approaches when appropriate Provide guidance on best practices across the finance and accounting lifecycle Assist with early-stage project planning, including design strategy and phasing of implementation activities Support data preparation, data cleansing, and migration planning efforts Offer independent insights and recommendations to ensure alignment with business needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive project success Contribute to process documentation and help establish sustainable workflowsRequirements Experience supporting multiple finance system or ERP implementations Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes Hands-on experience working within finance systems (not solely oversight or project management) Ability to assess process design, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to challenge assumptions and provide recommendations Experience working in complex or multi-entity finance environments Background that combines accounting/finance knowledge with systems implementation experiencePreferred Qualifications Experience within regulated or complex industries (e.g., healthcare, nonprofit, or similar) Exposure to grants or project-based accounting environments Familiarity with legacy ERP systems and system transitions Experience with additional finance-related modules (e.g., supply chain, procurement) Diverse implementation experience across multiple environments or organizationsThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
