Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Make a difference in the lives of students across Jacksonville by providing essential occupational therapy services during the school year. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with diverse school sites on the north and west sides of the city, enhancing students' educational experiences in supportive environments.Key Qualifications:Current, active Florida Department of Health Occupational Therapy license.Experience in school-based settings preferred (K–12), with flexibility to adapt to various caseloads and age groups.Ability to travel between multiple school sites within a designated region (itinerant role).Familiarity with documentation, IEP participation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Willingness to complete required fingerprinting; candidates with prior prints in the AHCA Clearinghouse should verify status for expedited credentialing.Primary Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to support students' academic and functional performance.Assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions in alignment with IEP goals.Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to facilitate student participation and independence in school activities.Provide clear and timely documentation of services, progress, and outcomes.Offer consultation and training as needed to staff and families.What's In It For You:Full-time contract: 35 hours per week during the 2026–2027 school year.Opportunity to work in-person with a variety of schools, making a direct impact in local communities.Professional growth in dynamic educational settings.Support through credentialing, including assistance navigating the fingerprinting and badge process.Interviewing begins soon!
