The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide direct counseling services to a diverse client base, conduct initial assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and offer both individual and group therapy sessions as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining detailed and confidential records, collaborating with other mental health professionals, and adhering to ethical guidelines and best practices in the field. The role also involves continuing education and participation in regular staff meetings to ensure quality care for clients.QualificationsLicensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of New JerseyProficiency in therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or related evidence-based practicesStrong interpersonal, active listening, and effective communication skillsAbility to manage case documentation and maintain client confidentiality in compliance with legal and ethical standardsExperience in working with diverse populations, including individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and age groupsCommitment to continued professional development and staying informed on mental health trends and researchMaster's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field requiredPrevious experience in mental health counseling or a similar role preferred
