Position SummaryPrime Jet LLC is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Controller to establish and lead the Company’s accounting function. This is a newly created position, offering a unique opportunity to design, implement, and oversee accounting operations in a growing and operationally complex aviation environment.The Controller will work closely with executive leadership, including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer, to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and to support strategic decision-making across the organization.This role is intended to serve as a succession path to the Chief Financial Officer position within approximately three years. Accordingly, the Company seeks a candidate with the capability and ambition to assume broader financial leadership responsibilities over time.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations and LeadershipEstablish and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliationsDevelop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsProvide leadership, training, and technical guidance to accounting staff, including support for transactional processes and issue resolutionEnsure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records and reportingFinancial Reporting and CompliancePrepare and deliver timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPManage the month-end and year-end close processesEnsure compliance with all applicable regulatory, tax, and reporting requirementsCoordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providersCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with internal departments, including scheduling, operations, flight crews, and sales, to ensure accurate financial data flow and alignment with business activitiesServe as a key accounting resource across the organization, providing guidance and resolving inquiriesSupport operational and financial decision-making through analysis and reportingStrategic Finance and Succession DevelopmentCollaborate closely with the CFO, CEO, and COO on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planningDevelop a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s operations, financial structure, and strategic objectivesContribute to the development and scaling of financial systems and infrastructurePrepare to assume the responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer within a defined transition periodQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA designation strongly preferredMinimum of 7–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated leadership responsibilityThorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standardsProven experience developing and implementing accounting processes and internal controlsDemonstrated ability to operate effectively in both strategic and hands-on capacitiesStrong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesExperience within aviation, transportation, or a related service industry is preferredCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive compensation package commensurate with experiencePerformance-based incentive opportunitiesComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefitsRetirement plan participationPaid time off and company holidaysProfessional development and advancement opportunitiesApplication ProcessQualified candidates are invited to submit a resume and cover letter detailing their experience and interest in the position, including their readiness to progress into a Chief Financial Officer role.
