You'll start by mastering our fleet — gas and diesel rigs, preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs. As you learn our operation and prove your reliability, you'll take on more responsibility, more authority, and more pay. We want someone who's eager to grow fast and eventually run this shop. If you show up organized, skilled, and ready to work — we'll invest in you.What You'll Do Every DayPreventive maintenance and inspection across our full fleet, including:Change engine oil & filtersCheck braking & suspension systemsInspect fuel & cooling systemsCheck transmission fluid & engine mountsDrive shaft, CV joints, belts & hosesPerform regular tune-upsInspect electrical systemsRotate & inspect tires, wheels, rimsExamine exhaust & undercarriageCheck all lights, frame & bodyInspect glass, mirrors & wipersVerify seat belts, horn & auxiliary systemsRepair fluid leaksMaintain accurate maintenance logsWho We're Looking ForExperienced with gas AND diesel engines — 6.0 a strong plusOrganized. Seriously organized. A messy bay is a dealbreaker.Safe, responsible, and takes ownership of their workHungry to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility over timeASE certification is a plus — not required if your skills speak for themselvesValid NJ driver's license and reliable transportation to Nutley, NJAbility to maneuver up to 150 lbs with provided equipmentAt least 1 year of hands-on mechanic experienceSchedule Full-Time Monday – Friday with Weekend availability required — all vehicles are available to service on Saturdays and SundaysOvertime and on-call availability are part of the role as neededCompensation & Benefits$20.00 – $25.00/hr based on experience — with room to grow as you doHealth insurance (full-time employees, waiting period may apply)401(k)A real path to shop lead — not just a title, a role with authority and pay to match
