Top pay for experienced, ASE master certified techs!!!We offer a full benefits package including:Competitive hourly salary commensurate with experience ($20-$40 per hour)ASE certifications a plus and can add to salary...Top pay for A-Level Technicians, depending on experienceOpportunities for efficiency bonuses increase earnings potentialOpportunities for overtime increase earnings potentialAnnual union scale salary increasesHealth, dental, vision and AFLAC insurances401(k) AND pension planPaid time off and sick time and holidaysUniform service and work boot allowancePaid training and growth opportunitiesClosed on SundaysUnion shopTool allowanceSome job responsibilities are:The day-to-day duties include diagnosing and preparing vehicles for repairs, performing repair work with the utmost of skill and accuracy and completing all duties in a timely manner.Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealershipTest-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsOpportunities for advancement with factory paid training!Qualifications needed are:High school diploma or equivalent2-5+ years of service technician experience required A or B level qualification including diagnostic, electrical and engine repair a preferred and a plusASE certification preferred and a big plusTechnical training preferred and a plusGM training a plusDexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordinationMechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsAbility to lift 50-75 lbs. or more with or without assistanceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic written and verbal communication skillsValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to work in a shop environment that is effected by frequently changing temperatures.Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competenciesPositive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to continue to learn and keep up with certifications and training
