Summary Of PositionThe Coater Operator ensures scheduled orders are completed in accordance with specifications and procedures established by Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Engineering, while keeping safety, quality and production at or above set standards in a team environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift Indirectly responsible for the safety of the crewmembers Perform quality and standard checks Participate in die changes as scheduled Complete appropriate data sheets as required Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections Follow “Red Tag” procedures if required Follow all safety rules when entering the manufacturing facility Responsible for maintaining clean and organized work areas Maintain inventories needed for production run Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers Make suggestions on reducing costs, improving safety, and/or improving product or process Participate in S4 continuous improvement team meetings and projects
