Role: Technical Systems Analyst – Applications & API IntegrationHybrid Role in Vienna, VAJD:DescriptionThis senior-level Technical Analyst position is targeted toward professionals with 8 or more years of relevant information technology experience. The role focuses on developing industry-leading web, mobile, chat, and voice solutions to support evolving business needs. The position involves collaboration with business analysts, solution architects, developers, and testers to assess business needs and define technical system requirements for solutions.Job DescriptionAssume leadership in collaborating with product ownership to translate business needs into technical system requirements.Proactively identify requirement gaps and communicate them to product ownership.Ensure non-happy-path scenarios are identified, documented, and addressed.Advocate for solutions that consider ease of maintenance, scalability, and component reuse.Leverage available documentation and exercise test versions of applications and APIs to understand existing functionality and identify enhancement opportunities.Investigate enterprise and vendor APIs to determine whether required data is available to support intended system capabilities.Map data between interfacing systems.Assist lead analysts in developing and prioritizing features and epics to ensure work focuses on high-value requirements aligned with product delivery strategy.Participate in project planning, sprint and release planning, daily stand-ups (Scrums), demos/reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and other Agile/Scrum activities.Perform application and service testing and validation.Create system requirements documentation for applications and services, including interface specifications.Provide demonstrations to internal project teams and business stakeholders.Work closely with Business, Quality Assurance, and Development teams on projects and production issues.Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines.Utilize system documentation, database information, application logs, and scenario testing to determine root causes of system issues.Technical KnowledgeGeneral understanding or working knowledge of:Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) / MicroservicesMulti-tier applications, including:Presentation layerServices/processing layerData management layerEnterprise and vendor API integrationManaging system behavior through configurable variablesError handlingXML and JSON data structuresQualifications / ExperienceAbility to write SQL queries.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situations.Strong teamwork, listening, creativity, and interpersonal skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and leadership at various organizational levels.Experience conducting complex technical analysis across multiple products.Experience working in an Agile methodology.Experience writing system requirements.Experience writing requirements for web and/or mobile applications is a plus.Experience writing back-end service requirements is a plus.Experience using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to test and exercise APIs is a plus.Must-Have QualificationsExperience capturing technical requirements for information systems/applications.Experience working with APIs.Familiarity with multi-tier applications, including application, services, and data layers.Nice-to-Have QualificationsExperience using Postman or SoapUI to exercise APIs.Experience in the financial industry.Experience developing requirements for native mobile applications.
