Electrician

Job Description Position: ElectricianShift: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am, rotating shifts. Work 2 days; off 2 days; work 3 days; off 2 daysReports To: Electrical SupervisorJob Purpose: To perform complex predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions and make necessary repairs to plant electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot electrical problems, make decisions necessary to repair, and restore equipment to design specifications.Perform electrical tests using megger, OHM meter, and other test equipment.Perform work utilizing prints and/or computer logic.Perform complex predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions.Make process control changes.Read wiring and circuit diagrams.Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Perform other duties as necessary.Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:1 year of PLC experience required.Minimum of 2 years' work experience in either electrical troubleshooting, motors and controls, or industrial electrical.Ability to read, understand and follow safety rules and regulations.Ability to use a 2-way radio and effectively communicate with all departments.Ability to operate a forklift.Ability to use ladders, hand and packaging tools.Essential Functions:· Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat and lift to 50 pounds.Work Environment:* Mill environment subject to weather extremes.Company DescriptionOSB mill environment subject to weather extremes.Company DescriptionOSB mill environment subject to weather extremes.
