Laboratory Research Assistant

Key Responsibilities:Collect blood samples from patients using proper phlebotomy techniquesPerform specimen collection (blood, urine, and other samples) following standard proceduresLabel and document specimens accurately to ensure traceabilityPrepare samples for laboratory testing, including centrifuging and storageConduct basic laboratory tests as requiredMaintain cleanliness and organization of the lab and work areaFollow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelinesOperate and maintain laboratory equipmentCommunicate effectively with patients and healthcare staffEnsure proper disposal of biohazard materialsRequired Skills:Knowledge of phlebotomy and specimen collection techniquesAttention to detail and accuracyBasic laboratory and testing knowledgeFamiliarity with safety and hygiene protocolsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle sensitive patient information confidentiallyQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent (required)Certification in Phlebotomy or Lab Technology (preferred)0–2 years of relevant experience in a lab or healthcare setting
