Job Description Barberton Mancan is assisting an Akron manufacturing company seeking experienced Tool & Die Setters for full time positions.Shift is 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-FridayPay is based on experience starting at $30/ hourThis is a temp to hire opportunity for the right candidate.MUST BE A JOURNEYMAN!Job Summary:The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting dies and tooling used in press operations to ensure efficient and quality production.Key Responsibilities: Set up and install dies and tooling in stamping or forming machines according to production schedules.Inspect and verify die alignment and perform test runs to ensure proper functionTroubleshoot and make necessary adjustments or repairs to dies and tooling during productionWork closely with machine operators and maintenance personnel to minimize downtimeMonitor machine performance and ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety guidelines are metClean, maintain, and store dies and tools in accordance with company proceduresRecord and report any die issues or equipment malfunctionsRequirements:Previous experience in tool and die setup or a similar manufacturing roleKnowledge of stamping presses, progressive and transfer dies, and related equipmentAbility to read blueprints, technical drawings, and die setup sheetsBasic mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periodsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyPreferred Qualifications:Formal training or certification in Tool & Die or related tradeExperience with hydraulic and mechanical press equipmentCOMPANY PERKS: While through Mancan, we offer our temporary employees full benefits such as paid vacation, holidays, 401K, as well as vision/dental/medical.
