This position is designed for advanced fabricators capable of independently managing complex fabrication projects while supporting production efficiency, fixture development, and workflow consistency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.As a Senior Fabricator - Level 2, you will play a key role in structural fabrication, custom production projects, fixture development, and fabrication troubleshooting. This role requires advanced layout and fitting abilities, precision fabrication knowledge, and the ability to maintain high production and quality standards with minimal supervision.We are looking for professionals who take pride in craftsmanship, understand manufacturing processes, and contribute positively to a high-performance fabrication team.Position SummaryThe Senior Fabricator - Level 2 is responsible for performing advanced fabrication, layout, fitting, and assembly work on structural and custom metal components while maintaining tight tolerances, production efficiency, and fabrication quality.This position requires the ability to independently complete fabrication projects from blueprint interpretation through final assembly while supporting workflow improvements, fixture development, and repeatable production processes. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting abilities, advanced fitting experience, and the capability to support less experienced fabricators when needed.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret complex fabrication drawings and blueprintsPerform advanced layout, fitting, and fabrication work while maintaining tight tolerancesFabricate racks, containers, structural assemblies, and custom production componentsBuild, modify, and improve production fixtures, templates, and fabrication jigsIdentify and correct dimensional, squareness, and fit-up issues during fabricationPerform GMAW and FCAW-G welding as required for fabrication projectsSupport production efficiency through proper setup and fabrication planningAssist with troubleshooting fabrication and assembly issues on the production floorMaintain fabrication standards, workflow consistency, and repeatabilitySupport and guide less experienced fabricators when neededMaintain clean and organized work areasFollow all company safety procedures and PPE requirementsFabrication & Welding SkillsAdvanced blueprint reading and fabrication layout skills requiredStrong understanding of fabrication sequence, distortion control, and tolerance managementHigh-level fitting and assembly squaring experience requiredAbility to fabricate complete assemblies independently from start to finishStrong experience building fixtures, templates, and production jigsAdvanced GMAW and FCAW-G welding experience requiredAbility to identify and resolve fit-up, dimensional, and fabrication issuesStrong troubleshooting and production problem-solving abilitiesAbility to maintain high production consistency and fabrication qualityStrong attention to detail, workflow efficiency, and craftsmanshipTools & Equipment UsedFabrication and fitting toolsGMAW and FCAW-G welding equipmentMeasuring and layout toolsClamps, fixtures, and fabrication jigsGrinders and finishing equipmentSaws and fabrication machineryMaterial handling equipmentHand and power toolsQualificationsMinimum 5+ years of fabrication experience requiredPrevious experience in structural or custom fabrication environments preferredAdvanced blueprint reading and layout interpretation skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong understanding of measurements, tolerances, distortion control, and fabrication sequencingAbility to fit and weld complete assemblies independentlyStrong production mindset and problem-solving abilities requiredConsistent quality and production output requiredStrong work ethic, reliability, and leadership mentalityBilingual in English and Spanish preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting production workflow improvementsExperience mentoring or guiding less experienced fabricatorsExperience with structural steel fabrication projectsForklift experience is a plusWelding certifications are a plus, but not requiredCompensationStarting pay: $30/hourFull-time positionGuaranteed 40 hours per weekStable long-term employmentOpportunity for professional growth within the companyPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 70 lbs regularlyAbility to bend, kneel, push, pull, and work in a physically demanding environmentAbility to work safely around fabrication machinery and welding equipmentWork EnvironmentThis position works inside a metal fabrication and manufacturing facility.
