This role requires strong welding skills, attention to detail, production consistency, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.We are looking for team members who take pride in quality workmanship, understand production expectations, and are committed to safety and continuous improvement.Position SummaryThe Production Welder is responsible for performing production-level welding and fabrication tasks on structural and custom metal components. This position requires the ability to work independently, maintain consistent weld quality, follow fabrication drawings, and meet production deadlines while supporting overall shop efficiency.The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments and can perform MIG and Flux-Core welding with consistency and minimal supervision.ResponsibilitiesPerform production MIG welding on fabricated metal components and assembliesPerform Flux-Core welding as required for structural or heavy-duty applicationsRead and interpret work orders, fabrication drawings, and production printsSet up and adjust welding machines and equipment properlyPerform fitting, alignment, and assembly support as neededMaintain consistent weld quality and production efficiencyInspect welds visually and identify defects or inconsistenciesGrind and finish parts to meet quality standardsWork independently while maintaining production schedulesFollow safety procedures, quality standards, and shop policiesAssist with troubleshooting basic fabrication and welding issuesMaintain clean and organized work areasWelding & Fabrication SkillsStrong MIG welding experience requiredFlux-Core welding experience requiredAbility to weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positionsAbility to maintain consistent weld quality in a production environmentUnderstanding of weld penetration, distortion, and weld appearanceAbility to work from blueprints and fabrication drawingsFamiliarity with fabrication tools, fixtures, and measuring equipmentAbility to meet production and quality expectations consistentlyTools & Equipment UsedMIG welding machinesFlux-Core welding equipmentGrinders and finishing toolsSaws and fabrication equipmentMeasuring and layout toolsClamps and fabrication fixturesHand and power toolsMaterial handling equipmentQualifications3-5 years of welding experience preferredPrevious experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication environments requiredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong understanding of welding safety and shop proceduresAbility to maintain productivity and quality standardsGood attendance and reliabilityStrong attention to detail and work ethicBilingual in English and Spanish preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience with structural or custom fabrication projectsFlux-Core welding experienceBlueprint reading experienceExperience working with production schedules and deadlinesForklift experience is a plusCompensationStarting pay: $22Full-time position40 hours per weekStable long-term employmentOpportunity for growth within the companyPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 70 lbs regularlyAbility to bend, kneel, push, pull, and work in a physically demanding environmentAbility to work safely around machinery and welding equipmentWork EnvironmentThis position works inside a metal fabrication and manufacturing facility.
