Our Petrashield division specializes in high-quality car care and detailing products designed to meet the needs of consumers, industry professionals and OEM’s.Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and visionary R&D Chemist if possible with experience in the automotive chemical, fuels, and/or lubricant world. This role will be a key player in quality control and assistance in developing the next generation of products. Role & Responsibilities:The R&D and Technical Service Chemist is responsible for performing and supporting R&D projects, quality control and quality systems support, and technical support for products and service offerings to customers/distributors as well as helping to develop or modify formulations and quality with external suppliers of product.This position is also responsible for:·        Technical training for product and service equipment for staff and distributors as required. This includes on-vehicle demonstrations and presentations.·        Quality and operations support for filling operations.·        Laboratory operations including lab equipment maintenance.·        Working with Product Safety and Compliance (third-party service) to develop and maintain SDS for all products.Qualifications & Education Requirements:·        Minimum 4-year bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering·        Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in formulations and quality including laboratory experiencePreferred Skills:·        Analytical chemistry experience preferred (GC, GC/MS, FTIR, AES)·        Experience with ASTM laboratory procedures preferred (e.g., D2 and D15)·        Computer experience (general PC skills required); experience with LIMS and/or analytical software highly desirable·        Experience in QMS (e.g., ISO 9001) and Lean/Six Sigma a plusAdditional Notes:·        Membership in industry consortiums (e.g., ASTM, STLE, NLGI, SAE) is encouraged and will be supported by the qualified candidate subject to review·        Continuing education or accreditations (e.g, STLE CLS), subject to review, is also encouraged and will be supported
