Kennebec Behavioral Health, established in 1960, then named one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for the last 5 years and now recognized as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable A/P & Accounting Specialist to join our Financial Services team. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety in their day, collaborating with others, and keeping financial operations running smoothly.
The A/P & Accounting Specialist provides accounting and clerical support to the Fiscal Services Department. The position will work with general ledger and accounts payable functions such as journal entries, accounts payable documentation and entering daily vouchers and worksheets. For accounting support, the position researches, tracks and resolves accounting discrepancies or documentation issues and maintains checkbook registers, along with preparing weekly cash statements and assisting with audit preparations.
Requirements/Qualifications: Associates Degree in business or accounting. Equivalent experience can be substituted for education. Also needed: strong attention to detail and accuracy, solid organizational and time-management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines and comfort working independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
