Job DescriptionSeeking a Mechanical Retrofit SuperintendentWe are representing a highly respected mechanical contractor in the Southeast that is expanding its retrofit and commercial services division. Our client is seeking a Mechanical Retrofit Superintendent to lead field execution of commercial retrofit and service-driven projects across the region. This role is ideal for a hands-on mechanical leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands commercial HVAC and mechanical systems, and excels at coordinating teams, schedules, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality results. The Mechanical Retrofit Superintendent will serve as the operational leader responsible for transforming awarded projects into successful, on-site execution. Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Project ExecutionOversee day-to-day field operations for commercial mechanical retrofit and service projects. Direct crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to drive accurate execution. Scheduling & CoordinationDevelop and manage project schedules for retrofit and small commercial projects. Coordinate with project managers, service teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project flow. Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying timelines and scopes. Quality & SafetyEnforce company safety standards and jobsite compliance. Ensure workmanship meets quality standards and contractual requirements. Conduct site inspections and resolve field issues proactively. Client & Stakeholder CollaborationServe as a key point of contact on-site for clients and internal teams. Maintain strong working relationships with technicians, subcontractors, and suppliers. Operational ExcellenceIdentify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and field efficiency. Support continuous improvement within the retrofit division. Ideal Candidate ProfileTechnical & Leadership Experience5-10+ years of experience in commercial mechanical construction, HVAC, or retrofit environments. Proven experience as a Superintendent, Lead Foreman, or Senior Field Supervisor. Strong understanding of commercial mechanical systems, retrofit installations, and service operations.
