You will lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, drive problem-solving initiatives, support manufacturing excellence, and ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.We’re looking for someone who is highly energized, resourceful, analytical, and driven to make an impact — a leader who embraces challenges, thrives under pressure, and is passionate about building robust quality systems that support operational excellence.What You’ll DoLead all customer-specific APQP activities throughout product launch and production readinessPartner closely with Launch, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams to ensure successful program execution and flawless launchesDrive quality planning activities including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP submissions, PSO readiness, and corrective action implementationProactively identify risks, resolve critical issues, and ensure launch deliverables are completed on timeServe as a key quality leader supporting customers, suppliers, manufacturing operations, and internal cross-functional teamsLead structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement toolsMaintain APQP documentation and support customer-required reporting and submissionsManage gaging requirements, fixture development, and Gage R&R validation activitiesSupport certification audits and promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellenceDrive continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality performance, reduce customer complaints, and strengthen manufacturing processesSupport customer notifications and quality communications in accordance with customer-specific requirements (CSR)Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectationsProvide support across multiple shifts as needed to ensure operational and launch successWhat Makes You SuccessfulYou are energized by solving problems and improving processesYou thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments where urgency and adaptability matterYou combine technical expertise with strong communication and collaboration skillsYou take ownership, drive accountability, and work with a strong sense of purposeYou are highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneouslyYou enjoy working cross-functionally and influencing teams toward common goalsYou bring a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for operational excellenceYou remain calm under pressure and focus on solutions, not obstaclesMinimum Skills And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field5+ years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment; automotive experience strongly preferredStrong working knowledge of automotive quality core tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, PSO, SPC, and MSAExperience leading customer launch and quality activities in automotive manufacturingAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and technical documentationStrong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and customersAbility to travel up to 20%Preferred Skills And ExperienceIATF 16949 internal auditor certification or related quality certificationsExperience working with molding systems and automotive interior componentsExperience supporting customer audits, supplier quality activities, and regulatory compliance requirementsFamiliarity with Chinese CCC certification requirements and compliance processesExperience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologiesWhy Motus?At Motus, your work matters.
