Interventional Radiology RN
This role supports a fast-paced Vascular Interventional Radiology service line, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care during both scheduled and emergent procedures. Ideal candidates are adaptable, clinically strong, and comfortable with on-call responsibilities.
Vascular Interventional Radiology
Department Specifics: 2 IR Suites, 1 CT Procedure area, Hybrid Vascular OR Suite, Monitor MRI Pacemaker patients
Shift: 7:00am-5:30pm; 4-10hr shifts per week (variable/rotating)
Call: Approximately 5-6 shifts per month. On a call rotation after 5:30pm and on some weekends.
Requirements: 2 years of critical care experience preferred (ICU or ED). IR experience is preferred. Sedation experience preferred.
Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital for emergent call

Job Summary
As an Interventional Radiology RN, use nursing expertise to deliver patient care with the healthcare team. Tasks include evaluating health, identifying issues, creating care plans, and tracking treatment responses. Help patients navigate their healthcare safely. Use knowledge of needs to prevent issues.
Essential Functions of the Role
Prioritizing patient and family needs is crucial. Responsibilities involve developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans. Adjust as needed.
Making a safe place for patients, families, staff is vital.
This includes maintaining confidentiality and voicing patient concerns when necessary.
The successful candidate will manage learning for patients and families. They will help nursing staff grow. Knowledge sharing in the health care team and community is also promoted.
The perfect candidate partners effectively with team members and the community to implement a cohesive care plan.
The candidate must recognize limited resources and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care.

Key Success Factors
A basic understanding of the patient care practices, medical terminology, medications, and equipment used in interventional radiology nursing.
You must communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to engage with different groups effectively.
Critical thinking and problem-solving for providing optimal patient care.
The ability to track changes in patients' health and communicate clearly with nurses and doctors.
Basic computer skills, particularly knowledge of electronic medical documentation systems and email.

Qualifications
Graduate of an Accredited Program
The applicant's major field of study should be Nursing.
Candidates must be Registered Nurses(RN).
A (BLS) Basic Life Support certification is required or must obtain within (30) thirty days of hire
