Project Finance Analyst

Job Title: Junior/Mid Project Cost Analyst Location: Baltimore, MD Job Type: Full-Time | Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) Hiring Company: Securityhunter Clearance Level: Public Trust Suitability Determination Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Pay Range: $55-65K/annual Position Summary: Securityhunter, a leader in federal electronic security systems integration, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior/mid Project Cost Analyst to join our team. This hybrid role is ideal for early-career professionals with a strong analytical foundation and an interest in project costing analysis. The selected candidate will support cost control, forecasting, and reporting efforts across high-visibility government contracts and work directly with the Chief Operating Officer. Key Responsibilities: Track and manage project costs, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with contract requirements. Generate and maintain cost reports, spend plans, and variance analyses for internal stakeholders and clients. Support the application of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to evaluate project performance and progress. Utilize Unanet for project accounting, reporting, and invoice tracking. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Finance to ensure accurate and timely data collection and reporting. Assist with the preparation of internal and external project cost reviews and audits. Contribute to continuous process improvements in project cost planning and project controls. Qualifications: 3-5 years of relevant experience (or 1-3 years with related education in Finance, Accounting, or Project Management). Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Experience with Unanet is highly preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Earned Value theory is strongly preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project cost data analysis. Previous experience with Federal contracts preferred. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
