Description:JOB SUMMARYThis job is a strong advocate of cloud technology and engineering support necessary to drive the organization's next-generationtechnologies. The intermediate level incumbent works to adopt, expand, maintain, and optimize cloud usage across the organization throughengineering support of cloud technologies and through automation builds and related technologies. The incumbent owns support andengineering of cloud solutions and must stay current with new cloud offerings to continue to produce expected corporate results. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESEngineer & implement cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, deployment of cloud resources andapplication optimizations that utilize automation technologies, sound redundant solutions, and enable business objectives.Works to define cloud resource procurement and performance patterns through monitoring and tracking of usage and trendsto optimize cloud spend & resource efficiency.Proposes ideas, designs, and solutions to senior or lead engineers to further cloud service utilization and optimization.Develops automation scripts and other repeatable patterns to enable application and service teams to deploy software andservices into cloud environments.Performs research and analysis required for new cloud deployment proposals, existing cloud service modification, and othernew cloud adoption to ultimately provide sound recommendations on the best course of action.Level 2 Incident, problem, and change management as it pertains to the responsibilities of the cloud operations engineeringteam.Develop documentation to support operations processes, procedures, and implementations.Other duties as assigned or requested. EDUCATION RequiredBachelor's Degree in Cloud Computing, Computer & Information Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems,Information Technology, or closely related disciplineRequiredEXPERIENCE3 years with at least two modern programming languages (Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell,l etc.)Experience doing operational support of at least one of the following cloud service providers for an organization: GoogleCloud Platform, Azu, re or Amazon Web Services. PreferredExperience producing code that is fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainableExperience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based solution architectures through automation tools likeTerraform or Ansible, for example, and versioning control via GitLab or similar tools.Experience with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption,certificate and key managementKnowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). LICENSES or CERTIFICATIONSRequiredGCP, AWS, Azure or other Cloud Service Certification PreferredTerraform, Ansible,e or other similar tool certification SKILLSDemonstrates ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment.Ability to speak and write English fluently and idiomatically.Strong scripting experience along with interest and ability to learn other programming languages as needed.Git/GitHub and other version control tools and processes.Kubernetes or other Container orchestration technologiesTerraform, Ansible, or other automation technologiesKnowledge of infrastructure concepts, such as OS, virtualization, or Networking
