Job Summary Serve as Mechanical Field Engineer, with Material Science or Metallurgy experience, working in the Service Department for land/offshore. Responsible for execution of tasks as assigned by the Lead Service Technician, Service Supervisor, Project Manager, upper-level engineers, or other Management. Is operationally qualified, verified, and authorized as required for specific tasks. All work shall be performed in a safe, professional, and productive manner. Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform field services within capacity as directed and in accordance with specific project work plan, procedures, and/or standard operating proceduresSupport Lead Service Technicians, Service Supervisors when working in the fieldReport to Project Manager and District Manager when not working in the fieldAssist in creating project documentation such as Project Work Plans (PWP), drawings, calculations, etc.Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Service, maintain, repair, and test equipment/ tools pre/post jobsWrite or participate in writing Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) for job task assignedLoad/ unload equipmentLearn all field services work and equipment in order to gain skills/knowledgeCompetency or working towards competency in Scopes of WorkIncrease knowledge and training on product lines and servicesParticipation and Compliance with BlueFin HSE and Quality Management System.Follow current work-hours policy for both shop and fieldComply with all company policies (Safety, quality, general, SOP's, etc)Available 24-hour call (except for scheduled PTO)Able to perform demanding physical labor in hot/cold environments and offshoreParticipate in trainingMonitor environment for unsafe conditionsAssist in creating training documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Other duties as assigned Education and ExperienceFour-year accredited Mechanical engineering degree.
