They will be functioning as the Technical lead and also be involved in the design, analysis, new development, coding, unit testing and will interacting with the project manager, QA, User Group as well other team members within the organization. Global logistics knowledge on IBM Platforms would be a major plus. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  N/A. Responsibilities:- Software development of Java application and/or system components- Software design and review plus strong knowledge of the full SDLC- Requirements definition and analysis- Unit testing of developed code- Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects- Maintain and run tools and processes that support and automate software product releaseRequirements for Sr. Java Software Engineer:Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science, or equivalent experience or qualification7+ years of engineering experience in JVM based secure web applicationsExpert level coding skills in front & back-end JavaJava EE and/or JVM based secure web applications, LDAPExperience in designing scalable web services.Strong foundational knowledge and experience with JMSExperience in deploying J2EE applications with any of the following IBM WebSphere7.0 or laterProven ability to work independently with limited supervisionExcellent team player with the ability to work within a collaborative environmentCreative, resourceful and innovative problem solverMentor and coach other team membersExperience with an IDE such as Eclipse, RAD or WDSCGreat communication skills, including active listening and comprehending system requirementsDesired Skills for Sr. Java Software Engineer:Knowledge of continuous integration and release management toolsGood knowledge of SCM tools including Git, subversion, JIRAFamiliar with SOA, DB2, SQL, JDBC, (IBM development).Spring Framework, Hibernate, Core JavaHTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, Ajax, JQuery, JSP, JSTL, Tiles2Proficiency in working in OS400/Unix/Linux environmentKnowledge of scripting languagesSelf-taught and self-teaching, with a demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills*Note: For this position US citizens only.
