Nurse Manager - Surgical Services

As a Nurse Manager in this role, you will oversee the daily clinical and operational activities within the Operating Room, supporting the advanced specialization and complexity of each surgical service. You will ensure that all necessary equipment and instrumentation are available for surgeons, manage staff and physician coordination, and collaborate with service teams and vendors on purchasing and equipment maintenance. Additionally, you will help coordinate daily schedules to ensure proper staffing for each case and contribute to capital equipment analysis and negotiations.In this leadership role, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise while gaining both personal and professional fulfillment by supporting the community and contributing to the excellence of Cleveland Clinic, one of the world's leading healthcare organizationsA caregiver in this position works days from 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Start/end times may vary.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Manage the operation and practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.Establish clinical direction of nursing care, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes and patient care standards.Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.Supervise caregivers and promote development.Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.Coordinate unit operations with other units/departments.Develop and monitor budgets, approve purchases and establish/revise inventory quotes.Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs.Evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes and develop strategic plans.Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)Three years of recent nursing clinical experience with at least one year of healthcare management experienceHigh degree of clinical expertise in specialty area managedPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Master's Degree in NursingExperience in the Operating RoomLeadership experiencePhysical Requirements:* Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye and hand coordination.* Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking.* Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range.* Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.* Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.* Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Personal Protective Equipment:* Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum Annual Salary: $101,900.00Maximum Annual Salary: $155,390.00The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
