Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation (Elder Abuse Defense)

Wilson Getty LLP, a mid-sized San Diego litigation firm, is seeking a *dynamic Associate Attorney with 2–6 years of experience* to join our civil litigation practice. Our firm focuses on the defense of *skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), assisted living facilities, and healthcare providers*, with an emphasis on *elder abuse and high-exposure matters*.Interested in learning more about this job Scroll down and find out what skills, experience and educational qualifications are needed.This role offers the opportunity to take on *meaningful responsibility, develop case strategy, and gain hands-on litigation experience* in a collaborative and professional environment.*Responsibilities** Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including case evaluation, investigation, and discovery* Develop and execute defense strategies in elder abuse and related claims* Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with precision and clarity* Conduct legal research using tools such as *LexisNexis** Take and defend depositions; attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences* Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and experts* Prepare cases for trial, including evidence organization and witness coordination*Qualifications** 2–6 years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense preferred)* Strong writing, research, and analytical skills* Experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions* Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively* Active member in good standing with the California xmcpwfu State Bar*What We Offer** Competitive compensation (commensurate with experience)* Quarterly bonus program tied to billable hours* Hands-on litigation experience and early responsibility* Collaborative, team-oriented firm culture* Health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time offPay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off
