Job DescriptionLocation: Remote (Preference for candidates within driving distance of San Diego)Firm Type: Small, tight-knit firm with a great cultureExperience Required: 2+ years of legal experience-Wildfire experiencePosition Overview:We are a small, well-established law firm seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our team. This is a remote position, but candidates must be located within driving distance of San Diego. While experience in wildfire litigation or defense is preferred, candidates with a willingness to handle plaintiff work will be considered.As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and transitioning a caseload of 40-45 cases to your docket. This role does not have billable hour requirements, allowing you to focus on delivering quality legal services and building strong client relationships.Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of 40-45 active cases.Handle litigation and defense work, with a focus on plaintiff representation.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.Draft legal documents, motions, and discovery.Provide strategic legal advice and representation in a variety of practice areas.Requirements:At least 2 years of legal experience.Prior experience in wildfire litigation or defense.Strong legal writing and research skills.Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a team.Must live within driving distance of San Diego.Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.Benefits:Full benefits package.Competitive salary.No billable hour requirements.Positive, collaborative work environment.To Apply:Please submit your resume and a writing sample for consideration.
