As a Project Accountant Assistant, you will serve as the execution engine for our finance department. This isn't just about data entry; it’s about providing the high-volume transactional support that enables our Project Accountants to make informed, real-time decisions. Operating as a shared resource across multiple teams, you will ensure that every dollar is accounted for and every record is pristine, preventing downstream rework and maintaining total compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesProject System Management: Perform high-volume data entry and daily updates across core systems including Procore, Viewpoint, and Kojo to ensure data integrity.Payroll & Timekeeping Support: Validate timecard completeness, prepare certified payroll packages for review, and ensure all payroll inputs are timely and error-free.Payables Processing: Prepare invoice packages and Partial Lien Waiver (PLW) documentation, ensuring all supporting records are attached and accurate.Receivables Documentation: Compile and organize backup documentation for monthly owner billings and Final Lien Waiver (EWB) packages.Audit & Document Control: Maintain organized, current, and audit-ready project files, ensuring strict version control and rapid record retrieval.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support multiple Project Accountants simultaneously, coordinating closely with Area Operations Managers and the Chief of Staff.Must-Have RequirementsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or administrative support roles.System Proficiency: Hands-on experience or the ability to quickly master construction-specific software (Procore, Viewpoint, Kojo).Attention to Detail: A "non-negotiable" commitment to accuracy in timecard validation, invoice packaging, and record filing.Workflow Discipline: Ability to adhere to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) task management and manage a predictable workload across multiple requests.Communication: Clear and proactive communication skills to surface execution issues before deadlines are missed.Reliability: Proven ability to deliver review-ready work that requires minimal rework or revision.Nice-to-Have RequirementsIndustry Experience: Prior experience within a construction or project-based accounting environment.Technical Growth: Experience with certified payroll packages or complex lien waiver documentation.Professional Development: A desire to use this foundational role as a stepping stone toward more senior project accounting responsibilities.Why Join UsIf you thrive in an environment where order, logic, and precision are the standard, you will find a home here.
