As a Laundry Aide, you will provide warm, friendly service to residents, visitors, and coworkers while ensuring linens are handled safely, efficiently, and with care. Experience is preferred but not required-we are happy to train individuals with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. ResponsibilitiesSort wet linens into appropriate tubs for dryingDry laundry loads and prepare items for foldingFold towels, washcloths, diapers, bibs, gowns, pillowcases, and draw sheetsWork with another aide to fold sheets and blanketsStock and deliver linen carts to assigned floors; respond to linen requests promptlyAssist with unloading personal laundry and hanging clothing when time allowsAfter 1:00 p.m., collect linens from floors, sort, load washers, apply cleaning solutions, and operate machinesPerform routine maintenance such as cleaning lint trapsSanitize tables daily; sweep floors; sanitize shelves and carts weeklyComplete daily linen count sheetsAttend required in-services and mandatory education sessions RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent customer service skillsHospitality or cleaning experience preferred but not required Physical DemandsOperate machinery using hands, arms, feet, or legsPush/pull loads requiring 20-50 lbs of force occasionally and 10-25 lbs frequentlyLift and carry 20-50 lbs occasionally and 10-25 lbs frequentlyStand for extended periods and walk throughout the shiftBend, stoop, reach, and grasp as part of daily tasks Background Check & Drug Screen Employment is contingent upon passing state and federal background checks and a drug and alcohol screening. Testing includes screening for both legal and illegal substances, including cannabis (THC).
