The set-up technician is the primary machine operator/process tech responsible for production output and product conformity. Product is thermoset parts such as seals used in medical devices. Qualifications4+ years of experience setting up, troubleshooting and operating compression and/or injection molding presses Certification or a relevant technical degree in molding is preferred but molding experience is most important. Highly responsible with experience in overseeing production with no immediate supervision. Essential Job Functions (Job-Specific Knowledge/Skills)Set up molding presses for production, including CNC injection presses Set up cycle time for molding Remove and install molds into various presses Regulate proper temperatures and set cycle time for molding and curing Diagnose troubles and make compensating adjustments Interact with and support molding operator assistant Meet strict quality standards and product specifications Diligently follow a production schedule while responding effectively to schedule changes Starting Pay: $28+ per hour depending on experience.
