The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation, comfortable managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment, and be well versed in New Jersey and New York court procedures and filings.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDraft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and motions.Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.Gather, review, and summarize medical records, accident reports, and other case-related documents.Maintain and organize case files, discovery databases, and document productions.Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, and coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts.Conduct legal and factual research as needed.Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements in New Jersey State and Federal courts.Provide general administrative support to attorneyMay be required to provide receptionist coverage at the White Plains office on an as-needed basisMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certifications:Bachelor’s degree in legal studies and/or paralegal certificate required.Experience:A minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in insurance defense.Experience handling workers’ compensation casesPREFERRED SKILLS:Strong knowledge of New Jersey State court rules, procedures, and e-filingExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a high-volume practice.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.Interested applicants shouldforward cover lettersand resumes to:Amber Thornhill, Directorof Human Resources, at Amber.Thornhill@lawbbh.com
