Operations Coordinator
About the RoleBedding Industries of America (BIA) is hiring an Operations Coordinator to support the day‑to‑day flow of orders, information, and communication across our U.S. manufacturing network.This is an operations‑first role with light IT and systems support. The primary focus is keeping order data accurate, up to date, and moving smoothly between our retail partners and three manufacturing facilities. You’ll act as a central point of contact for order status, updates, and documentation, helping ensure nothing slips through the cracks.This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable juggling multiple operational tasks across systems. If you like being the person who keeps things running and enjoy working across teams, this is a strong opportunity to build a solid operations foundation.What You’ll DoOrder Management & Operations (Primary Focus)Manage end‑to‑end order flow from receipt through fulfillment across multiple platformsProcess and distribute incoming orders from web portals, EDI, and SFTP channelsTrack open orders and proactively follow up on missing or incomplete informationServe as a main point of contact for internal teams and retail partners regarding order status and updatesExtract, organize, and share order data from PDFs, portals, and internal systemsEnsure orders are processed accurately and on time, especially during peak volume periodsSupport seasonal volume spikes and special programs as neededData & ReportingMaintain accurate order trackers and operational recordsWork regularly in Excel to organize, reconcile, and report on order dataAssist with basic reporting and data pulls; exposure to SQL is a plus but not requiredEnsure operational documentation is organized and up to dateSystems & Light IT Support (Secondary Focus)Support basic office and operational technology needs (printers, workstations, software updates)Assist with internal system rollouts or basic user training when neededHelp troubleshoot routine technical issues and escalate more complex problems appropriatelyWhat We’re Looking ForRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus0–2 years of experience in operations, logistics, administration, office support, or a similar roleStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working across multiple systems and platformsSolid Excel skills and comfort working with dataSelf‑starter mindset with the ability to work independently once trainedLocated within commuting distance of North Brunswick, NJ and able to be on‑site 1–2 days per weekAuthorized to work in the United StatesPreferred (Nice to Have)Exposure to order processing, manufacturing operations, or logistics workflowsFamiliarity with EDI concepts or structured dataBasic SQL or reporting experienceExperience supporting office technology or light IT tasksBackground in a small or mid‑sized company where you wore multiple hatsWork Environment & ScheduleHybrid schedule with flexibility on on‑site daysCore hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMInitial onboarding will include on‑site training and hands‑on learningCollaborative, small‑team environment with direct access to leadershipCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $55,000–$65,000, depending on experienceMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysDiscretionary year‑end bonusEmployee mattress discountsFamily‑run, people‑first cultureAbout Bedding Industries of AmericaBedding Industries of America is a leading domestic mattress manufacturer with facilities in New Jersey, Illinois, and California.
