We offer state-of-the-art equipment for well-being treatments, including massage tables from Germany integrating zero gravity positions, psammo or Quartz sand treatments, halotherapy, sound therapy, far infrared, hydrotherapies, and more coming soon!A career in wellness at Bergamos Retreat offers standardized single-rate hourly pay, earned paid vacations as well as many other benefits.Core Responsibilities:Perform World-Class, professional, and quality massages that are results-orientedAssist in the cleanliness of the Massage area (therapy rooms and common areas)Incorporate a schedule that is good to the client, meaning you will not perform more than five hours of massages a day to ensure excellent customer careAssist in the promotion of the health and wellness benefits to clients receiving massage therapy on a regular basis; communicate all specials and promotions to clients that are going on in all departmentsRecommend additional treatments and services that guests could benefit from and pre-book appointmentsPromote a positive atmosphere and create an excellent member/guest experience through a friendly and helpful attitude.Keep personal relationships to a minimum with the clients to focus on treatmentComplete all services within the standard time framesResearch past experiences your guest has had so that you may better serve themTake detailed client history and note any health conditionsEvaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the bodyAdvise clients on stretching, strengthening, or relaxation methodsHelp other team members, by teaching them what you knowImmediately report guest belongings that have been left behindAssist with laundryPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Competencies:All Texas license requirements must be up to dateExtensive knowledge of massage techniquesHigh work ethic and self-initiativeExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, a talent for making people feel comfortable and better about themselvesRequired to learn and perform treatmentsBe comfortable and confident performing all treatmentsRegular attendance according to established guidelinesMay be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the propertyStrong time management abilitiesAbility to maintain excellent relationships with staff and always maintain staff and guest confidentialityPhysical Requirements:Thoroughly and efficiently perform services to clientsSit, stand, and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of timeBend, stoop, squat, push, pull, grasp and repetitive motion abilities requiredLift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies, using safe lifting techniques
