Infrastructure Accounting Manager
Meta is seeking an Infrastructure Accounting Manager to join the controllership function, supporting the accounting and financial reporting for Meta's large-scale infrastructure investments, including server racks, network assets, and other capital-intensive technology infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of capital expenditure cycles, asset capitalization policies, and the accounting implications of infrastructure build-out and deployment at a global scale. In this role, you will partner closely with Engineering, Technical Sourcing, and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting for infrastructure assets in accordance with US GAAP, while actively leveraging AI and automation to drive efficiency, scalability, and control improvements across the infrastructure accounting function.Infrastructure Accounting Manager Responsibilities:Apply deep technical accounting expertise to complex infrastructure arrangements under ASC 360, including capitalization, useful life assessments, impairment analysis, and disposalsSupport accounting and reporting for large-scale Compute, Storage, and Network assets—including servers, network hardware, and related capital programsPartner closely with Engineering, Technical Sourcing, Product, Legal, Tax, and Supply Chain teams to provide authoritative accounting guidance and inform decision-making on infrastructure investments, particularly compute expansion initiativesDevelop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to understand broader business objectives and translate them into sound accounting practicesDesign and scale systems, processes, and controls to support a rapidly growing fixed asset portfolio in a high-velocity environmentServe as a key point of contact with external auditors on fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting mattersDrive process improvements and automation—including leveraging AI tooling—to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial reportingMinimum Qualifications:6+ years of relevant experience in accounting and auditingTechnical accounting knowledge of US GAAP standards applicable to infrastructure, including ASC 360 (property, plant, and equipment) and ASC 842 (leases)Experience developing and maintaining accounting processes and internal controls for capital-intensive asset portfolios at scaleExperience partnering with cross-functional teamsExperience communicating complex accounting positions and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written documentation and presentationsPreferred Qualifications:Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licenseExperience using data analysis or visualization tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar platforms to support infrastructure accounting analysis and reportingExperience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to redesign accounting workflows and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, or control coverageDemonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesExperience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP in the context of fixed asset and capital project accountingDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)About Meta:Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
