Senior Accountant

Fast growing high-tech company located on the mid-peninsula are quietly redefining the infrastructure of the digital economy. While many companies focus on the "what," we are obsessed with the "when" and "how"—building the high-performance systems that allow cloud-based enterprises to scale with absolute precision.We are seeking a sharp, technically proficient Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a high-impact role where you will take ownership of critical accounting functions, with a particular focus on revenue recognition for our cloud subscription model. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our financial data while helping us scale our processes through automation and robust internal controls.ResponsibilitiesFull-Cycle Closing Management: Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. This includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Revenue Recognition (ASC 606): Oversee revenue accounting for multi-element cloud subscription contracts. Ensure compliance with GAAP, manage deferred revenue schedules, and collaborate with Sales Ops on contract reviews.Accounts Receivable & Billing: Manage the end-to-end AR lifecycle, from subscription billing cycles and collections to credit memos and bad debt analysis.Audit & Compliance: Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors. Prepare work papers and ensure internal controls (SOX compliance) are robust and followed.Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the "Record-to-Report" cycle and implement automation tools to streamline billing and reconciliation tasks.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.CPA or CPA candidate3-5 years of accounting experience in public accounting, ideally work with clients that is within the SaaS or cloud technology sector.Deep understanding of ASC 606 and GAAP standards is essential.Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) and billing automation platforms.A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a keen eye for detail, and can translate complex data into actionable variance analysis.
