Job DetailsOur client is seeking a skilled and dependable Laser Operator to join their production team in Siloam Springs, AR. This position involves operating CNC laser equipment to cut and process stainless steel sheet metal components with precision and accuracy. The Laser Operator will play a key role in ensuring parts are produced correctly, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications.The ideal candidate for the Laser Operator role is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC equipment is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn quickly will also be considered. This is a hands-on position requiring both independent work and collaboration with team members.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC laser equipment to cut and process metal partsHandle, sort, and organize stainless steel sheet metal materialsRead and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specificationsDetermine tolerances, sequences of operations, and setup requirements for production jobsMeasure, mark, and scribe materials using a tape measure and other toolsPerform basic maintenance on CNC laser equipmentInspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards are metOperate and work around shop equipment including grinders, forklifts, and other machineryMaintain a clean and safe work environmentFollow all shop safety rules and proceduresQualificationsCNC laser or machine operation experience preferred (training available for qualified candidates)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and accuracyBasic math and measurement skills, including accurate use of a tape measureMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable attendance and strong work ethicCommitment to safety procedures and shop standardsPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequentlyAbility to stand for extended periods while workingComfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment
