Summary of PositionPlans and designs the Liberty Power IT systems infrastructure, including the design, implementation, and continual improvement of hardware and software.Responsibilities include analysis of problems or Company/departmental needs from a technology standpoint, development of solutions, analysis, testing, and continual improvement of solutions, and ongoing maintenance of solutions.Qualifications & RequirementsAssociates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems/Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum of 7 years of practical experience in IT systems and systems design.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Knowledge of IT systems and support practices.Practical experience implementing and supporting Ignition SCADA solution.Deep understanding of virtualization.Knowledge of IT service management principles and best practices.Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles and best practices.Knowledge of operating systems and network fundamentals.Ability to effectively learn and apply new technologies.Ability to embrace the concept of continual improvement.Ability to work independently and under pressure, manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and deal with changing priorities while maintaining personal effectiveness.Ability to take initiative in completing daily tasks and special projects.Ability to focus on tasks with greatest impact and see them through to completion.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Indicators & Attributes for SuccessEffective and decisive decision-making skillsAttention to detailCultural awarenessBusiness acumenCustomer/Client focusCritical evaluationPositive attitudeOrganizational and prioritization skillsCommunication skillsAccountability Ethical practicePatienceFlexibilityMust be sensitive to Corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the business needsPrimary ResponsibilitiesDefines, communicates, and manages the execution of infrastructure strategy, standards, and roadmaps based on the Company's current state and short- and long-term needs.Works on and manages all phases of system and service management, including scoping, design, testing, deployment, release, and continual improvement of new and existing systems and services.Develops and maintains documentation for supported applications, processes, and training materials to internal employees and IT staff.Participates in general IT operations and user support.Contributes to a supportive team culture by engaging respectfully, sharing knowledge, and collaborating openly.Builds and maintains cross-functional relationships with internal teams to drive initiatives.Identifies, plans, and implements automation within systems to improve efficiency.Develops system monitoring and supports automation to enhance and scale the quality of support.Serves as an escalation point for other IT teams and assists with mentoring and providing technical guidance to more junior staff members.Participates in the planning process and ensures architectural designs and principles are incorporated in the company systems implementations.Other Duties: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this position.
