Senior Network Engineer

Entrust is currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer with high‑level F5 expertise, strong competency with Cisco networking products, and deep experience working in enterprise data centers to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will collaborate with a team of Senior engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users. In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. If you’re also passionate about security and data protection, we’d like to meet you.Position Overview:The Senior Network Engineer manages and maintains our company’s computer networks. This involves planning and developing solutions for crucial infrastructure initiatives to maintain a vision for the commercial network infrastructure. In addition, this role provides high-level technical guidance and support for the enterprise network structure, as well as mentorship and guidance for a team of engineers that troubleshoots and optimizes our networks. To ensure success as a Senior Network Engineer, you should have extensive experience working with enterprise networks in multiple commercial co-located data centers, advanced project management skills, attention to detail, excellent communications and documentation.Responsibilities:Design and implement functional network infrastructure and systems using correct network diagrams and documentationAnalyze and confirm the information demands and functional requirements in collaboration with internal and external customersAdopt network security measures after organizing, planning, and safeguarding data, software, and hardwareMonitor network performance to identify necessary adjustments and improvementsCooperate with technology suppliers to offer business-focused solutionsProvide technical leadership to teams working on deployment and supportEnsure the stability of the working environment before, during, and after system updatesEstablish and maintain strong cross-functional working connections with corporate and local teamsResolve issues escalated by lower support tiers and provide support for those tiers as neededConfigure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network security and efficiencyUtilize online resources and documentation to gain knowledge about new or unfamiliar technologyCollaborating with architects to design and implement functional company networks.Installing and configuring networking hardware.Creating and implementing network security measures.Mentoring and guiding junior Network Engineering staff.Conducting regular network performance tests.Delegating networking maintenance tasks to junior staff.Dealing with escalated network support issues.Drawing up network status reports.Basic Qualifications: College or University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience8+ years of High Availability, High Security, Internet Data Center Experience and the requisite rigor needed to operate in that environment2+ years of public cloud experience preferred but not requiredExperience in with automation and deployment frameworks to deploy network servicesDocumentation skills and experienceDesign and deployment experience with most of the following technologies: F5, Palo Alto, Cisco, OpenGear, Windows Server, VMWare, SD Wan, Network VirtualizationMust be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for USPreferred Qualifications:Strong organization skills and detail-orientedPrior experience supporting commercial network infrastructure / environmentsExcellent problem-solving skillsKnowledge of ITSM/ITILProject coordination/management experienceExperience with the following:F5Cisco OS, FW, Switches, RoutersPalo Alto, FWsCisco ACIAbout Entrust:Entrust keeps the world moving safely by enabling trusted identities, payments and data protection around the globe.
